Unemployment falls!
According to the Office for National Statistics, unemployment rates have fallen for the first time in almost a year. While only at a rate of 0.1%, this equates to 35,000 people securing work during this period.
Women aged 50-64 have seen particular improvements since the recession, with 200,000 people finding work.
Younger workers aged 25-34 are the only group to see a rise in employment during the recession, although this figure has been largely attributed to 'inward migration.'
While there are many positives, the UK currently has 2.65 million unemployed people to support.
