Lunching at your desk?

If you find yourself tied to your desk at midday, you are not alone. Two-thirds of employees fail to take a regular lunch break; with almost one in five unable to remember the last time they ate lunch away from their desk.

Over half of survey respondents also leave the office late most days, with men likeliest to work overtime.

These statistics are attributed to the effects of post-recession cut-backs, with employees under increased pressure to prove their value.
